They're lovely. Some really nice "noisy" ambient moments, drenched in warm static, but full of emotion (imagine Tim Hecker's stuff).<BR/><BR/>And Chris is right about the differences in the dub/tech scene. For a long time a lot of people kept saying DeepChord was like Basic Channel. Sure, I can understand why people would compare DeepChord to BC (how can you *not* be compared to a progenitor of the sound), but there are significant differences between what the BC boys did and what Modell is doing. Comparisons are okay, but to say "DeepChord is a Basic Channel ripoff" is pretty lazy.<BR/><BR/>It's the same with Bvdub and a lot of the other new guys working with this sound.
